HAVING A BAD DAY?

image credit;google image

Little things can trigger bad days, it can start from getting stuck in a traffic, a bad phone conversation, a bad valentine day, pressure from your boss at work, accidents,or just waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Sometimes, you just wake up and go all negative, then the next thing is spoiling your day with all those thoughts of negativity and how things are not working out for you.

Not every day is good, but there is something good about everyday. It takes a strong person to see the positive on down days. Ultimately, you can fight life, it is either you complain all you want or stand up for yourself , accept everything, and put it together to create something worth smiling about. Knowing and accepting this gives you the ability to cope effectively with life's constant river of incidences,tragedies and situations, an act called RESILIENCE.  Please read after cut

Things don’t go wrong and make you bitter so you can become sad,depressed and finally give up. They happen to break you down and build you up so you can be all that you were intended to be. We can start to look at things not as they are but as they can be.
I as an individual, I have had bad days, so many that I can't remember most of them in that I tried as much as possible to do things to overcome them by taking it one step at a time. Sometimes, you notice the situation you are in are certainly out of control, there is nothing you can do about it, the annoying part of all these is when it is entirely not your fault, so at the end you have no one to blame but yourself. Painful right? Hahahaha (e.g slipping while trying to get out of a bath tub).
Looking at a bad day beyond the moments, you might get caught up in it if certain measures are not put in place. It might actually lead to a lot of big deal. Stuffs like
Emotional stress
Depression
Suicidal thoughts
Total failure in life
Eating disorder
Quitting your dreams
All these problems start from somewhere and a bad day is actually not left out. Even the hardest days contain some lessons that will help you be a better person tomorrow. Consider these things to remember when you are having a bad day;

You cant truly be happy unless you have tasted unhappiness sometimes too. Feelings, good and bad always come and go. The logic here is to be grateful when your mood is high and graceful when it is low. In all,embrace every moment so you will never forget how each feels.

No one promised life would be perfect. Don’t condition your happiness on meeting every expectation you set for yourself. You can never be perfect. Our perfectness lies in embracing all our doings, both good and bad and their flaws.

Its okay to cry sometimes. Do not apologize for crying. Without this emotion,we are only robots. -  Elizabeth Gilbert

You deserve love and happiness. Everybody deserves to be happy. It is in our hands. Let us tap into it and own it.

You can learn something important from any situation, if you want to. You are a combination of what you take from these. You are all these many things combined into one….YOU!!!

You are not a victim. It is a situation, do not let it define you. You are in control. Change your thoughts.

Be a little nicer to yourself than you would normally. At the end of the day, it all boils down to you and nobody else. The better you feel about you, the more value you can create for everything including people around you.

In all you can start overcoming a bad day after taking the points listed above into consideration, for a quick relief, try these suggestions listed below ;

PRAY.. I don’t need to say much about this. It is key!

Listen to favorite song and sing along

Watch a funny video

Be sure not to be all alone, it helps sometimes

Talk to someone

Pet an animal ( I can be moody at times too, so I just got myself a pet, a Lhasa breed dog, so cute, I call her Kiki..lol)

Write it all out. Pen it down, it helps a lot

Do some exercise

Sign out of social media

Read an article

Listen to radio or a message, sometimes, life can be funny. You just go to church and the pastor starts preaching about what is actually on your mind. It has happened to me many times.

Lastly we should always remember pain is for the living. Be thankful enough that you are alive, it is only when you are alive that you get to worry about these things. Only the dead don't feel it because their time is already up! Be patient and keep it at the back of your mind that the best things happen unexpectedly!!!!

ENJOY!!!!

  1. Not every day is good, but there's something good in every day...this is what remembering.

    Your article is fantastic, Sewa. But you can use some improvement. You said too many things. The content of this article could've been used to create three to four articles written in parts. But you squashed everything into one.

    The delivery of each point will also be more compelling if it's well researched/refined.
